Thanks so much for praying me up! I feel so supported and covered in prayer! It means so much to Linda and I. I know that God hears when we call to Him!

We didn’t get the news we were hoping for. The echocardiogram showed that my heart function (measured by something called ejection fraction) didn’t improve very much.

So if you are scoring at home. The ablation did work in that the EKG showed normal rhythm and I haven’t had anything like those crazy SVT. (You can Google all those letters if you like). But it didn’t lead to my heart recovering to full strength. They aren’t sure why.

Medically what they are suggesting is putting in an Implantable Cardio Defibrillator. This corrects abnormal rhythms and protects against serious heart arrhythmias, which I’m at greater risk for because of the low function. Once this is in, they say, I should be back surfing or whatever in about 6 weeks.

So I’d say that God has not healed me… YET!

Like lots of us at Journey, I’m still waiting for my answered and not giving up.

Today before I went to my appointment with the cardiologist, I was reading Psalm 146

Psa. 146:3         Do not trust in princes,

            In mortal man, in whom there is no salvation.

Psa. 146:5         How blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob,

            Whose hope is in the Lord his God,

Psa. 146:6         Who made heaven and earth,

            The sea and all that is in them;

            Who keeps faith forever;

Our trust is not in people, even the best of people, “princes”, Doctors… ultimately our trust is in Him. We’ll be blessed (happy) when our HOPE is in HIM. He actually made this world. I love how this Psalm ends. He keeps faith forever!
