To put a bow on this last series and get us to the next I wanted to share a Poem by our own Charles Roof who is a Journey-ite who is a fantastic writer. I think this will encourage and give us some insight! Enjoy!
The Promise of His Coming
Arise King Jesus in our hearts,
we wait with expectation at your appearing!
Arise, O Lord and come without delay!
Come in your majesty, as we bow before the Name.
O clear away the gloom of the day,
refresh my soul, renew my spirit!
In anticipation we pause with hope;
so we remain here to receive from you.
Jesus, you have promised to come,
our confidence is in your word.
Draw closer to us, as we linger here for you;
speak to us in ways we can understand.
Mend our minds and restore our hearts;
we have places you can heal, if we are willing.
It is your spirit that restores my soul!
We wait with expectation at your appearing!
It is your breath that gives me life—Jesus,
come in a whisper, and speak my name!
