Dr. Gail Bones, a former English teacher and professor of education, has been engaging audiences as a speaker, Bible teacher, songwriter and worship leader for more than thirty years. Gail and her husband Jeff live in San Diego, where happiness means always having one or more of the following in her hands: a dog leash, a sailboat tiller, bicycle handlebars, a kayak paddle, an acoustic guitar, a big fat book, or a hazelnut coffee.
Sarah Merk-Benitez has a heart and passion to connect young adults to the grand vision that God has for their lives. If she could, she would have the freedom to spend hours talking with every person about their life, hopes and dreams. Her hope for young people is that they find healing from past hurts, but then move outside of the walls of the church and find a life filled with mission. Outside of JCC, Sarah spends time with her husband Daniel at one of the local restaurants or coffee shops near their home in the Hillcrest area.
To fit your budget, there are four different types of accomodations to choose from. Each room is a beautiful suite (two beds and one sofa bed) with a full kitchen. Grab some of your friends and sign up for a great weekend get away!

Visiting for the day?
Saturday Session only (no accommodations)……………$35
Session begins at 9:00 a.m.
Check in at the hotel desk between 4:00 – 6:45 p.m. Our first session begins at 7:00 p.m. The retreat will conclude Sunday at 11:00 a.m.
Please check-in at the La Jolla Room, which is across from the Main Lobby, where Key Packets will be distributed as the rooms become available.
Please register at the front desk, at your convenience, where proper identification and acceptable credit information will be needed, if you would like to have posting charges to your guest room. (i.e. movies, phone, Café charges)
Carpooling is recommended as only one car should be registered per guest room. Hotel Parking is complimentary. There is a large City Lot adjacent to the hotel if additional overnight parking is needed, at no charge.
What to bring:
You’ll want to bring the following: bathing suit, Bible, pen, games if you want, and food/snacks.
