We are excited to tell you about a new pastor joining our staff. Lance Grush will serve as Pastor of Global Missions & Adult Campus Ministries.

Lance will be overseeing the broad adult on-campus ministries such Men’s Ministry, Women’s Ministry and THIRTY. (Specific ministries like Celebrate Recovery, Single mom’s, Grief Share, etc. will still be overseen by Chris Rader as part of Pastoral Care Ministries.)

Lance will be developing an internship program for people seeking training and discipling in ministry. Those internships will serve in many different areas here at Journey.

He will also more fully develop our growing Global ministry that will include our work in Haiti and Tecate as well as some new opportunities.

There is more that we will share with you later but we just wanted you to get the big picture. Lance does not officially start until September but you will see him around, in fact he will be leading one of the nights during our Week of Prayer. Some of you already know Lance as he has been around JCC a bit in the past and in fact has been to Haiti with us. Lance comes to us from the mission field where he was serving in El Salvador. We are very excited about Lance, his wife Karina and their kids becoming part of the Journey community. We will be introducing Lance in person in our services on Labor Day weekend.
