DivorceCare is a 13-week video seminar/support group for those whose lives have been impacted by divorce. All are welcome — those who are separated, going through a divorce or already divorced. For women experiencing issues related to domestic violence. Safety. Support. Resources. Community.
If you or someone you know is involved in a domestic violence situation, (physical, verbal, or emotional), we here at Journey would like to offer you the advocacy and company of some who have traveled that path ahead of you. Whether you are looking for education, shelter, confidential conversation or a pipeline to a variety of available resources we would like to walk with you and help facilitate those needs. WOMEN’S SEXUAL ABUSE RECOVERY COURSE
Mondays from 6:30 – 8:30 pm in The Plaza Room beginning Sept. 11.
Join us for a new series aimed to help adult (women) survivors of sexual abuse work through the lasting damage in
a Christ centered forum. We will be utilizing the study The Wounded Heart by Dr. Dan B. Allender.
FINANCIAL PEACE UNIVERSITY
Sundays at 11 am in The Center Room beginning September 17
Tools to help develop and implement good financial habits and practices.
We all need a plan for our money. Financial Peace University (FPU) is that plan! It teaches God’s ways of handling money. Through video teaching, class discussions and interactive small group activities, FPU presents biblical, practical steps to get from where you are to where you’ve dreamed you could be. This plan will show you how to get rid of debt, manage your money, spend and save wisely, and much more! More info >

GriefShare is a Jesus-centered seminar and support group for those grieving the death of a loved one. It is a place to be surrounded and encouraged by others who understand the deep hurt you are experiencing as we look together to the source of all healing and comfort. More info >
THE HEALING CLASS
Sundays at 10:45 am in The Far Room.
If you are in need of physical or emotional healing or would like to learn how to pray others, this special two-week workshop is for you! In this class you will hear stories of people at Journey that have experienced healing, you will take a look at the scriptural basis for healing, and you will learn to pray and for healing in others. THE HEALING PLACE
Third Saturday of the month, 8 – 9 am, Journey Food Bank
At “The Healing Place” we have caring people who will spend time with you, pray with you and expect God to intervene in the problems you may be facing.
Post-Abortion Healing Bible Study
Tuesdays from 6:30 – 8:30 pm, off campus beginning September 11
This Bible study offers a pressure-free environment where women who have experienced an abortion can find hope, empathy and total confidentiality. The group is facilitated by experienced and caring leaders.
Our Post-Abortion Healing Bible Study is designed to enable each participant to:
~ work through any pain they are facing
~ deal with issues of guilt and forgiveness
~ resolve anger towards self, God and others
~ grieve the loss of her baby
~ come to a place of acceptance

PARENTS OF CHILDREN WITH ADHD
Mondays from 6:30 – 8:30 pm beginning September 11 in The Center Room
This is a 10-week support and education group for parents who have children diagnosed with ADHD. We will be discussing strategies for handling behavioral issues, as well as attending to the emotional needs of you and your child.
The Preparing for Marriage process at Journey is designed to guide engaged and seriously dating couples that are considering marriage, toward building a Christ-centered marriage that will last a lifetime. Engaged couples are matched with a married couple to provide role modeling, support and direction during the premarital stage. More info >
The Prison Ministry provides care to men, women and juveniles who are incarcerated. We visit and pray with inmates, facilitate chapel services, prayer meetings and classes, and provide reentry planning. With more care ministers (like you!), we envision Journey extending care to those within our own church who have loved ones that are incarcerated. All ministry members undergo appropriate orientation and training.

An 8-week class that looks at the physical, emotional and spiritual components related to depression, giving practical tools effective in reducing the impact of depression in our lives.
Are there times when you feel hopeless? Are there times when you feel depressed? The class addresses all aspects of depression – physical, emotional and spiritual.
This is a seminar based on the video series by Dr. Neil Anderson. This very balanced approach considers the medical, cognitive, and spiritual components of depression. Some of the topics covered include: the signs and symptoms of depression, understanding brain chemistry, the basis for hope of recovery, overcoming helplessness, the mechanism for dealing with loss, and making a commitment to recover.
