Download the app for your smartphone or tablet from iTunes, Windows Phone Marketplace, Amazon Appstore and Google Play!

After you first install the app, please allow notifications. You can set up (allow or disallow) certain notifications later. See “Notifications” section below. Allow Location settings — if you set this to “Always”  this will allow us to send you a note or reminder if you are on the Journey campus.

 

Welcome

This section contains info about the current series and easy access to Updates, Message Notes and other info you may need for the upcoming weekend. This page will be updated often with the most relevant info.

Taking Notes

There are two kinds of notes available: Fill in notes and Free Form notes.

FILL IN NOTES

• Access this weekend’s notes from the home page in the Fill In Notes section

• Click on any blue underlined section to fill in the blank. Or, leave it as is — the fill in answer is already there for you to follow along with!

• Fill in your own notes in the free-form notes section. Click on the free form note icon (looks like a dialogue box) to type in your own notes.

• In order to save the notes, EMAIL them to yourself. When you are done, click the EMAIL button at the bottom. The fill ins answer will all show up whether or not you added anything. You will receive the notes within an email message and as a PDF attachment.

 

Free Form Notes

Any message will also have a “Take a Note” link below it. You can tap on this to take a free form (no fill ins) note.

With Notes, each of your notes are in one place, easy to access on the go, and stored in your app. Access the Side Menu to find all your stored notes. When you tap on “Take a Note” you will be prompted to log in with your email or via Facebook. This will ensure the notes will be saved and always be accessible to you within the app. These notes will sync across all devices, so you don’t have to worry about transferring them if you get a new phone or want to use a tablet.

 

Messages

This section has the most recent messages as well as an archive of older series and messages. Click on the Series and you will see a list of messages organized by date. Click on a particular message to access the message video or podcast, fill in notes and discussion questions (if available).

 

When you are viewing a message, you can:

– [Watch]
Tap the Play/triangle icon that appears on the series graphic to watch the video message.

– [icon up arrow]
Share a link to the message via email, text, your favorite note taking app, social media and more.

– [Listen]
tap to hear the message podcast. [icon down arrow] Download the podcast

– [Message Fill In Notes]
Links to the fill in notes. Email these to yourself to save any notes you’ve made, or to receive a PDF of the filled in (answers) version of the notes.

– [Take a Note]
Take a note on this message and save it across all devices. Login required.

– [Discussion Questions]
Access the message questions written specifically for Life Group discussion groups, if available.

Connect

If you would like more info on ways to get connected, find out about groups, or if you are new to Journey, find more info in the “Get Connected” section. Let us know how we can help by filling out an E-Connect Card. 

Events

This section features a list of upcoming events.

Tap on any item to see more information, including time, meeting place, and link to sign up form, if available.

[icon plus sign in calendar] Tap this to add the event to your calendar.
[icon arrow up (in colored bar at top)] Share a link to this event via email, text, social media and more.

 

Giving

1. Enter a dollar amount, then select a frequency.

(Choose either One-Time gift or set up a recurring gift by selecting Weekly, Monthly, Every two weeks, or Twice a month.)

2. Log in if you already have an account.

  OR

Set up your account. Fill in your name, email and create a password. Tap Sign Up and you’ll confirm your email by entering the code that was just sent to your email address. Tap Next and enter payment info to link a debit/credit card or bank account.

3. Confirm your payment details and frequency, tap Complete Gift.

You’ll receive a receipt via email.

Settings

Access the Side Menu by clicking on the three lines icon on the upper left side of screen.

 

JOURNEY: Once in the side menu, click on “Journey” to return to the main Welcome screen. Click the “Share” icon to share a link to download the app.

SEARCH: Find messages by entering the series or message title here. 

DOWNLOADS: If you have downloaded any messages to play later, or to play while not connected to the internet, they will appear here.

INBOX: The inbox is where you’ll find your recent notification history. Enable Push Notifications to receive messages.

 

NOTES: Access any notes you’ve taken on any of your devices here. [This is different than the Message Fill In Notes, which in order to save, email them to yourself.] Any media item (Message/Sermon) will allow you to take notes when you click “Take a Note.” You will log in with your email or via Facebook and the notes will be saved and always be accessible to you within the app. These notes will sync across all devices, so you don’t have to worry about transferring them if you get a new phone or want to use a tablet.

 

SETTINGS:

Notifications

Tap “Settings” to access Notifications.

Here you can update settings to receive notifications. Tap the “Go to Settings” button to allow notifications on your phone. Then within the app, you can select or deselect which notifications you are interested in receiving.

Notifications can include:

General (All-church communications. For example, when an all church event is coming up or the cancellation or postponement of an event.)

• Journey Kids
• Jr. High
• High School
• College

 

LOCATION SETTINGS

Allowing Location access will allow the Journey app to send you relevant notifications and content customized for your location (specifically, the Journey campus.) Select Always, While Using App or Never in your phone’s settings.

Tap the “Journey” section on the side bar to return to the Welcome page.

 

Recently played media

Top right hand corner of the screen, in the colored bar.

From any screen within the app, you will see a small icon on the upper right side, that is the most recently played media. Tap that to return to what you were listening to.

HELP / TROUBLESHOOTING

 

Access the Help section from within the app by tapping the side menu, clicking on the three lines icon on the upper left side of screen. Tap Settings, then Help.
