Make a Teacher's Day!

It’s that time of year again! Like is or not, our children will be back in school in about 6 weeks!
We are looking for volunteers to deliver to the teachers of our four partner schools on August 10, 15 and 16. 

Journey loves its teachers and wants to do what we can to support them. For the past few years, Journey has provided its teachers with baskets overflowing with supplies. We deliver them to each of our partner schools a day or so before classes begin, as teachers are in their rooms getting ready. Teachers Prep . . . you know. We set up the baskets on tables in a room and the principal gets on the PA and asks teachers to join us.

What happens next is a sight to behold. A (joyful) feeding frenzy. They are so thankful, and tell us so. Thankful for making it unnecessary to go shopping. Thankful that Journey ‘has their back.’ Thankful that they don’t have to spend their own money. It’s a blast and gives you a first-hand idea of how Journey is seen by our community.

We will begin collecting supplies in a few weeks. We’ll tell you about that in a week or so. For now, we are looking for volunteers to deliver to the teachers of our four partner schools on August 10, 15 and 16.
