What is Theology of the Body?
Theology of the Body is based on 1043 verses of scripture. This teaching encompasses the entire Biblical narrative describing God’s invitation into union and communion with Himself throughout scripture. It originated with Pope John Paul II, a sincere and passionate Christfollower! It is not just for Catholics.
What is the central message of Theology of the Body?
The human body is not only biological, but it is also spiritual and theological. What can I learn about what it means to be human from the design of the body? What does the design of my body speak about the path to a life that flourishes?
“Our bodies reveal the whole of the gospel (the good news), the eternal plan of God, from Genesis to Revelation…the very truth and meaning of existence… A human being is the marriage of the spiritual and the physical.”
“If we listen carefully to what the body says, we will come to hear it whispering to us that God is an eternal communion of love and we are destined to share in this divine bliss.”
