In scriptures we can read many stories of the crazy life of king David.  A warrior, king, poet, musician, adulterer, murderer, and man after Gods heart.  Whether David was in triumph, in a cave, or in a state of repentance he always seemed to have a song of praise on his lips.

     I waited patiently for the Lord;
  he turned to me and heard my cry.
     He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
     out of the mud and mire;
   he set my feet on a rock
    and gave me a firm place to stand.
 He put a new song in my mouth,
    a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear the Lord
    and put their trust in him.

Psalms 40:1-3

What seemed to be David’s greatest strength was his ability to praise God in all seasons. This season we have an opportunity to recognize that God wants to put a new song in our mouths. So, when we feel the urge to complain about something or someone we can instead cry out to God. To pray for our enemies, to cast our cares upon him. He wants to hear our cries and in return give us a song of praise and when we declare his praises others around us put there trust in him!
