Food for the Hungry

Journey Food Bank

Did you know that your Food Bank distributes more than 1,000 non-perishable food items to hungry East County families every week? And when we do, we feel as though we are making only a small dent in the need. We need you help. If you are giving already, thank you. If you can help, please drop off your non-perishable items at the church office or Thrift Store any time we’re open. We can use all the help we can get!

Journey has a Food Bank that is a part of several Food Ministries. We help out:
• Hundreds of families that visit our Food Distributions that are held nearly every week;
• Homeless/needy people who stop by our office every day;
• Dozens of seniors who live at Guava Gardens;
• Men, women and children who we encounter every Friday night at Hope For The Homeless;
• Haitian men and women who are here as refugees.

There’s a lot of food required to make this happen but the impact is not so great if the giving is spread over hundreds of givers. Why don’t you make a pact with yourself? A specific one. One in which you commit to an amount and a frequency of giving.
