Here is an email I sent out last night to our Pastors Prayer Team (a couple hunded people who pray specifically for us pastors at Journey).

Could I get you to pray tonight & tomorrow for the Journey-wide RALLY tomorrow night?
This is an important event in the life of our church. I’m desperate to have God show up.
Pray however you feel led for the rally, but here’s some ways I’m praying.
1. THAT LOTS OF PEOPLE SHOW UP – this is a duh, request. Of course it won’t be a great thing for people if they don’t show.
2. THAT CHRIST IS EXALTED – I want us to avoid self exaltation like the plague. It’s about Jesus & the Kingdom of God, NOT so much Journey & certainly not us who are leading it.
3. THAT WE ARE INFUSED WITH VISION
4. THAT WE HAVE LOTS OF FUN & ENJOY OURSELVES – that’s right, pray for FUN
5. THAT OUR CARE FOR PEOPLE FAR FROM GOD GOES THROUGH THE ROOF
6. PRAY FOR ALL OF US WHO ARE SPEAKING OR LEADING OR SERVING FOR THE RALLY.
