Journey Through Scripture

Journey Through Scripture: Exodus
Thursdays 6:30-8pm beginning January 18
The Plaza Room

Childcare provided

We turn reading the Bible from something you feel guilty about NOT doing, into the thing you look forward to most in your week!

Exodus: God has the power to deliver you from the chaos of the bondage of sin. God also desires to dwell in intimacy with his people. The bible doesn’t just tell us this – it SHOWS us this in picture in the book of Exodus! God delivers the nation of Israel from the slavery under Pharaoh, takes them to be with him at Mount Sinai, and ultimately causes his presence to dwell among them. Each week in Journey Through Scripture, we will break down the context, background, and cultural significance of a specific portion of Scripture in Exodus. Then, class participants have the tools they need to go home and read the assigned sections of Exodus on their own! For those who stay for our extended small group time, we will provide discussion questions to leaders that will provide an opportunity for deeper understanding of both the teachings and the previous week’s readings

Heather Klein and Scott Broberg co-teach the class together. Both are on staff at Journey and are enrolled full-time and working toward getting their Masters of Divinity from Bethel Seminary.
