For me it was a crazy busy weekend – Men’s breakfast, First Step, Q & A, Selah… oh yeah, 3 services.

We are in the midst of a fall series called “MEANING”.  Part of the point of the series is not just to follow Jesus’ message, but his method, which has led us into the Sermon on the Mount the last 2 weeks (meaning of sex and this week, the meaning of marriage).

It was huge to have a single person, Karen Knox share her Journey on a weekend in which we talk about the meaning of marriage. We all have to relate to marriage, single, married, divorced, we all relate to it.

Here is the Martin Buber quote that I shared on Friday, that my wife made me cut for Sunday. You decide who was right.

“When I confront a human being as my You and speak the basic word and I-You to him, then he is no thing among things nor does he consist of things. He is no longer He or She, limited by other Hes & Shes, a dot in the world grid of space and time, nor a condition that can be experienced and described a loose bundle of named qualities. Neighborless and seamless, he is You and fills the firmament. Not as if there were nothing else but he; but everything else lives in his light.” Martin Buber I and Thou
